With this wiki, we are hoping to have one place where people can go to browse through vintage patterns and find
- links to sellers who have particular patterns in stock
- reviews by people who have made the patterns
- links to blog posts about particular patterns
- a wishlist of people who want to buy or trade particular patterns
- searchable 'tags' on patterns (like 'cocktail', 'wrap dress', 'peter pan collar' or whatever).
PLEASE only create articles for OUT OF PRINT patterns: roughly pre-1980.
Some online pattern sellers (Bootyvintage, Born Too Late Vintage, Cemetarian, FuzzyLizzie, The Golden Yard, LanetzLiving.net, MOMSPatterns, Moonwishes, Scissorhappy, Sew-Retro.com, Oldpatterns.com, What-I-Found - Sewing Patterns, and Out of the Ashes!) are allowing their images to be used. Please thank these sellers by linking to the pattern they have for sale when you use its image!
Otherwise, please only upload YOUR OWN pattern images that you have scanned or photographed yourself, or images from patterns you have purchased. Please do not use images from the pattern companies websites, even the 'retro' or 'vintage' styles -- those patterns are still in print!
