Advance 2004; ca. 1938; WOMEN’S, MISSES’S and JUNIORS’ SPANISH COSTUME. Three shirred ruffles, dipping in the back, identify the silhouette of this design. The bodice extends well over the hips forming a pointed outline in the front, and darts in the front and back provide for a molded waistline. A choice of necklines is provided when the fichu is omitted and the puffs sleeves featured. Length at center-back, size 16, 59 inches, no hem. Width about 3¼ yds.
