Butterick 2247; 1940s; Women's and Misses' Evening Gown. A captivating gown that is definitely the romantic type. Note the demurely covered shoulders, the low square neckline and the two-piece flared skirt gathered and attached to the contrasting midriff. Matching midriff in second version.
