Butterick 2912; ca. 1944; Misses’ Beltless Type Afternoon or Dinner Dress. A dress made charmingly feminine by its low neckline, its soft bow accent, the figure-defining beltless line in front of view A, and the yoke detail. View B – dinner and evening version is beltless and has an arresting slit in the skirt.
"The drama of contrast: a net bodice posed above a candle slim, slit skirt of moss crepe. Look at the lovely bow and cap sleeves" (as stated in Butterick Pattern Book, Summer 1944)
