Butterick 3964; 1970s; Men's Jacket & Pants. Semi-fitted lined jacket with one or two button closing has self or contrast notched collar, full length two-piece sleeves with vents and button and buttonhole trim, center back vent, upper welt pocket, pockets with flaps, and inside breast pocket: optional buttonhole in lapels. Slightly flared pants darted into waistband have back buttonhole pockets with buttoned closing (on left side only), pockets in side seams, and fly closing. Optional: belt carriers, inside buttons on waistband for suspenders, contrast bands or purchased ribbon trim on side seams of pants. Purchased shirts, ties, cummerbund and handkerchief.
