Butterick 4250 A

Butterick 4250; ca. 1980s; Children's Top, Skirt, Shorts and Pants: Semi-fitted top has round neckline, shirred shoulders, back buttoned closing and short sleeves gathered at cap and elasticized at lower edges forming self ruffle. Flared, three tiered skirt two inches above mid-knee, pants and shorts with no side seams have elasticized waistlines. Purchased trims. Topstitching.

Suggested fabrics: Soft or Crisp fabrics: Batiste, Challis, Chambray, Broadcloth, Seersucker, Calico and Eyelet. Not suitable for obvious diagonals. Additional notions required: TOP – five 10mm buttons, ½” bias tape single fold, ¼” wide elastic, ribbon. SKIRT, PANTS or SHORTS – ½” wide elastic, ribbon.
