Butterick 4400; ca. 1948; Women’s Coat Dress: Simulated Bolero. For easy in-and-out, the front buttons all the way. To give slenderizing lines, the neck buttons high, the slightly flared skirt has three gores in back. Scallops lend the bolero effect. Cuffed, below-elbow sleeves (A); short sleeves (B).
