Butterick 4630; ca. 1949; child's one-piece dress

One-piece dress with button-front bodice has a dirndl skirt and short or long sleeves. The detachable contrasting collar is trimmed with rick-rack in View A, purchased edging in View C. View B is collarless.

Note the warning on the back that this dress potentially contravenes clothes rationing rules! (Dressmaking for private use was theoretically exempt from restrictions, but paying a professional brought it under the full force of the law.)
