Butterick 4649; 1940s; Casual dress features a convertible neck; buttoned bodice; below-elbow sleeves (A); short sleeves (B). The waist is accented by a sash in front, V seam in back to match bodice. Flared three-piece skirt with pleat in front; bias cut back.

The envelope is marked "Professional dressmakers are reminded that they must comply with the making of civilian clothing (restriction) orders".
