Butterick 5275; ca. 1933; FOUR styles of BREATH TAKING gowns features a gown in instep length, ankle length, and two in shorter views. No hem allowed on skirt. A delineator style; dinner or formal afternoon gown with drop shoulder, six piece flared skirt attached at natural waistline with flattering shaped panels, V or Square necklines; double ruffled sleeves or a bloused balloon sleeve with gathered pleats at the shoulder line.

Featured in Butterick Fashion Book Fall 1933: Sheer black is a perfect idea for a dinner dress. Six piece skirt attached at waistline.
