This is a jacket-dress ensemble that you will be wearing for both dancing and sunning. The slim Silhouette dress bares arms and back, has a halter-type neckline. Cropped sleeved jacket contrasts dress (A), matches skirt (B).
Reissued as Butterick 5214 in the 2000s, where is it identified as a Retro '47 dress (which does not correspond with the envelope design and release of this pattern as pictured, but certainly with the style.
