Butterick 5904; ca. 1951; Susie Stephens Originals - College-Career Fashions created by student designers of Stephens College, Columbia Mo. - Jumper and Blouse in Junior Sizes. Sleeveless jumper with a slashed drop-shoulder line and a diving V-neckline. Single front pleat on the three-gore skirt. The club-collared blouse buttons down the front and has long shirt sleeves (view A). Jumper only (view B).

Susie Stephens is not a real person but the name of the line of clothes (Susie Stephens Originals) designed by the student-designers of Stephens College, Columbia, Mo. In the 1950s Butterick edited different patterns labeled Susie Stephens Original.
