California Couture N-1102; ©1969; Stanley Nelson - Misses' Jacket, Blouse, Skirt and Belt.   Couture pattern Three-piece wool suit for Spring and Summer.  Clear, brilliant color is the special forte of the California designer who is eternally challenged by nature.  Stanley Nelson chose to relate his choice for Spring directly to the source of all light and designed this three-piece suit in citrus yellow. While Stanley Nelson believes the classic suit is the backbone of any woman's wardrobe, he also believes in many ramifications of the suit look. He has used sleevelessness here, part of Spring's popular jumper effect, for a suit that will brighten the early Spring scene but can go on all Summer in a variety of fabrics.  A wide belt, held in place by a series of loops, marks a slightly higher than normal waistline on the elongated jacket. A panel widens the skirt at the hemline for the brisk walker.  Shown with this yellow wool suit, and included in the pattern, is a stock tie blouse in a silk plaid. Or it could be interpreted in any favorite fabric.
