The front yoke, sleeves and collar are cut in one, and gathers at the yoke seam release fullness in the bodice front. A self or purchased belt encircles the waistline. Soft pleats on either side of the center front and back, and gathers at the sides release fullness in the four-gored skirt. In Style 1 three-quarter sleeves are gathered at the lower edge. The short sleeves in Style 2 are also gathered at the lower edge.
