Simplicity 3040; ca. 1948; Junior Misses' and Misses' One-Piece Dress: The skirt is divided into three horizontal sections, each gathered at the upper edge. Corded piping out of self fabric is stitched over each seam and over the waistline seam. Style 1 or 2 has a rounded yoke finished with a high round neckline and fastened in back with buttons and loops. The yoke may be made of lace or self fabric, and self ruffling trims the lower edge. Style 3, which is sleeveless, has a low round neckline trimmed with self ruffling.
