I'm interested in the actual pattern pieces.
This pattern from the 50's does not appear to have ever had any printed information on it (the name of the piece and tailor tack markers are indicated with tidy little factory perforations) - so I wonder - Did the pattern pieces come already cut?
I can tell this one has been used, because I can see the pin marks where it was pinned to the fabric, but I think, (more of a guess really), that the paper has a 'factory' edge.
Any thoughts from those of you who have seen more patterns from this era?

Yes, the patterns from this era were precut, unprinted, with perforations as markings. Vogue used this type of pattern until about 1956, when many, but not all, other companies had moved excusively to printed patterns. Hope this helps.
