Mail Order 1970; ca. 1940s; Misses' Dress: Crisp as a new dollar! This dainty dress is cut for comfort and smartness with its fitted midriff and square neckline. It's as fresh as a daisy with white eyelet ruffling peeking out from the neck, sleeves and slash pockets. Incidentally, the slash pockets and front fullness in the skirt were designed to 'do away' with hips! You'll want more than one when you see the possibilities this pattern offers in way of changes; such as brightly colored ric-rac in place of the ruffling, on a dark material; or wide colored bands of ribbon around the neck and pockets. It's young and gay!
