Times and Guardian Mail Order 962; ca. 1939; Frock with Zouave Effect / Becoming Frock for the Matron. This is a specially becoming style for the full figure. The bodice is given almost a suit-like appearance by means of its zouave shaped front, which is stitched in at the shoulders and side seams. Sleeves are bishop shape and dress front is finished with a row of buttons below V neck opening. Skirt is panelled at back and front. Each side of zouave front has a collar-like rever which finishes at shoulder seam.
