Times and Guardian Mail Order 992; ca. 1939; Frock With Zouave Effect / Fashionable Frock With Coatee Effect. This frock has a contrasting centre front, the fullness at the neck being drawn up by a ribbon in a runner and tied in a bow. The sides of bodice front are zouave shape and are stitched down at edges to the contrasting front. Bishop sleeves have buttoned cuffs to match front. Bodice back is plain. Skirt is panelled in front and plain at back, being made to fit neatly by a dart on each side.
