Dolls are easy to make; from stuffed socks and fabric/scraps. Stitch the face you want; choose from simple button eyes to expressive life like contours. All six dolls and clothing are included along with step-by-step instructions. The dolls look elaborate but are easy to make. Each doll has the same kind of body; made from a man's sock. White socks are used, however also included is a color-fast recipe to create flesh tones. Dolls may have yarn "wigs". Dresses, Bonnets, Bloomers and Knickers patterns are included.

This mail order pattern was offered in the December 7, 1982 issue of Family Circle magazine. The color picture (and article) was taken from that issue. The Family Circle article gave instructions and scaled patterns, or the opportunity to purchase a full scale pattern by mail was offered. The pattern was printed on a 48" x 24" (approximately) sheet which was folded into a mailer measuring 10" X 7" (approximately) -- in black and white. ca. 1982
