(c) 1963. Three-panel, sleeveless shift has inset and inverted pleat at center front, and in each side seam below waistline. Insets may be of dress fabric or contrasting fabric, side insets have pockets. Front edges of shift are held together over inset with fabric loops and buttons part way down. Neck, fronts and pleat edges are trimmed with machine stitching.
