McCall's 8555; ©1966; Skirt Set. Front wrapped skirt, pleated at sides and back, and two section, bias flared skirt. Pleated skirt is one piece when cut on crosswise of fabric or three piece when cut on lengthwise of fabric. Pleats are stitched in place to about hipline and pressed, upper section of skirt is lined and has narrow waistband. Edge at left side of front is hemmed, edge at right side of front is faced and purchased fringe may be included in facing seam. When fringe is used, skirt is fastened once at left side and twice at right side with eyelet studded straps and buckles. Without fringe, skirt is fastened with hooks and eyes and decorative safety pin. Flared skirt has faced upper edge, left side zipper and may be lined.
