McCall's 8601; ©1966; Hat Wardrobe. Helmets A and B have the same four sectioned crowns. A (for heavier materials) has self faced edges and a lining. B (for lighter weight materials) has self faced. Silver discs are optional. Newsboy Cap C has five sectioned crown with elastic at back, visor brim and self covered button on top. Hood D is hand crocheted. 3 crochet button closing under chin. Mod Cap I has two sectioned crown, headband of grosgrain ribbon. Cotton tubing trim across front is knotted, then looped over side buttons. Beret F has one piece darted crown. Headband with extending ends ties below center back snapped opening. Cap C and Beret F can stand high or drape softly to the front or side.
