Mc1399a This photo is from the Summer 1949 issue of MCCALL NEEDLEWORK magazine.

Description from the magazine: Meet our New York Mrs. R.D, who was so fascinated by our McCall Mexican Jacket No. 1399 that she made a sand gabardine wool suit, with green blouse to match the green shades in the embroidery, topped off the outfit with a sand-color hat. It took 50 hours to do the embroidery, 50 hours to make the outfit, and Mrs. D. did a beautiful job all around in a short space of time.
