Misses' Swim or Sun Suit with Halter, Shorts and Bloomers

This illustration is from the Spring-Summer 1950 issue of MCCALL NEEDLEWORK magazine. Description from the magazine: It's a midriff swimsuit with little-boys shorts, red marine embroidery. For sunning make bloomer type. Pattern, yellow or blue transfer, 75 cents. (Child's matching pattern is McCall 1523.)

Marine embroidery in satin-stitch, French kots, outline, chain, single stitches. Bra has fitted under-bra, ties in back. Shorts zip in back, have under-bloomers attached. Sizes 12, 14, 16.
