McCall 878; ca. 1940s; Child's Smocked Dress. Nothing is sweeter than smocking for soft little frocks. One-wave smocking forms the tiny diamonds in this design. The rows are nicely spaced and nicely grouped, and the stitch is the same throughout. Easy to do.
