Excuse me, please, escuse me.....I suppose I have done a mistake but I can not understand and solve the problem...can you help me , please?
I have inserted my name and link of my page in the vogue 4203 wishlist
and I have inserted the vogue 4203 link in my profile page
I have saved the changes but .....when I visit the vogue 4203 page and click on my name on the wish list I reach the edit page of my main page of my profile ; when I enter my page and click on the vogue 4203 in my wished patterns I reach the edit page of the pattern vogue 4203....
I will cross my fingers....I have found the pattern in right size, 18 , but it is quite expensive...cross my fingers again and again until they are blue :D , maybe the seller will accept a lower the price :D
Hi, thought you should know there is a blog linking to this site which misleadingly claims you've "released more than 83,500 patterns of pre 1992, out of print patterns for all to use." SO you'll probably have a lot of confused visitors around.
Hi, thank you very much for the information. I don't think we can do much to prevent or block false articles from other websites. The positive point is that I read in most comments to the blog article that people were aware Vintage Patterns Wikia is only a database and doesn't offer free patterns.
Hi Petite Main! I tried a few weeks ago to add the name of my Etsy shop to the Vendor list so that I could put my link on one of the patterns that no one else seems to have. Somehow, I did something wrong as I apparently got banned for life for spam and vadalism!!!! I was told that the reason is that one can't advertise a business on Fandom. So, now I'm really confused as there appear to be lots of vendors with Etsy shops. Can you help? My shop link is www.Etsy.com/shop/22Curtis Thanks so much!
Hey Petite Main! I'm Jamie from FANDOM's Community Development team! Not sure if we never asked you if you are interested in turning on the Discussions feature for this community, and migrating the Threaded Forums across as well.
In case you are unaware of the feature, Discussions was introduced last year to help communities engage with users and fans. It lives in its own space on the wiki and allows users to interact with other members of the community. It is also mobile friendly and gives mobile users a chance to contribute and engage with the community, and possibly turn them into wiki editors as well. Discussions also links with our FANDOM Apps, which this community has and it allows app users to easily take part in Discussions as well. You can read more about Discussions here.
For more information on migrating forums to Discussions, you can check out this blog over on Community Central that explains everything in detail.
If you have some concerns, Discussions, and Forums can exist side-by-side in case you do not want to migrate just yet. However, eventually all Forums will be migrated over to Discussions and Forums will be sunsetted as a feature, so getting ahead of the curve is never a bad idea.
Feel free to have an open discussion with your community about this, and I'm available for any questions you might have. Have a good one!
I have been looking for McCall's 9517 (bell bottoms) for years!! Found you site today, plugged in the # and Walla! I bought it! Then I read the instructions...said not to put in the number that way, you won't find it, or was that only if you were posting?
Awesome! I am so glad you found the pattern you have been looking for. There are so many fantastic patterns on vintage patterns wikia. I list all my vintage patterns here and they link to my shop Penelope Rose at Artfire. Not sure who you bought your pattern from, but all the vendors are super cool. Also, not sure about putting the number in in a certain way, but as you said you found your pattern and was able to buy it, so it all worked out great. So, untilyour return, enjoy and happy sewing!
I'm trying to create a new page for the first time and can't figure out how to add all of the categories and can't seem to find a template. Help! I started Vogue 1962-A. Also, I tried to add a better photo to Vogue 2215 A -- two photos are on the article, but I don't know if there's a way to sub the main photo to improve it. Any guidance appreciated.
Hi, I saw Tarna helped you on Vogue 1962 A. To add a better photo on any page, you must click on the picture you want to replace, you'll be taken to the image page where you'll find under "File history" the link "Upload a new version of this file". Click on this link and you'll be taken on a page where you can upload the new picture. This way we still have the former picture. It can seem a bit complicated said this way but you'll quickly see that it's not that difficult when you get used to it. Have a nice time here!
Thank you! I still have no idea how to create a new page though. I was able to upload a photo and write the description, but I can't figure out how to add the other categories or access a template. I watched the wikia video but it didn't help. Tarna must have finished 1962-a for me. I'd like to add more pages but don't want to leave a mess.
I was looking at the vendor links page and noticed that there are quite a few shops that are no longer open. I would be happy to go through and remove the invalid links but didn't want to do so without checking with you first. Let me know if it's ok with you if I remove the links to shops that are either invalid links of go to shops that had their last sale over a year ago.
Hi Mary Beth, I'm not quite sure because I don't know if we can know that those shops are definitely closed. Did you ask Tarna what she thinks about it? It would be good to have her advice as well. Kind regards, Petite Main (talk) 08:39, April 9, 2015 (UTC)
Thanks - Nevermind I have decided to liquidate and get out of the business. I was concerned since several vendors have pappered their links throughout the list and some end on dead links. I will remove my link at the appropriate time.
How do I get my shop added to the pattern vendor section? I was reading the rules, but didn't see a place to sign up.
The name of my store is Vintage Sewing Shoppe. It's on Etsy. The web address is www.etsy.com/shop/vintagesewingshoppe. I sell all types of vintage items for sewing machines, notions, patterns, trims, laces and other things. I have been up and running for a few weeks now. I am with the Pattern Patter Team. I have 57 vintage patterns. I add more everyday. I try to sell patterns that haven't been cut. Sometimes I will if I think it may sell and that's when I count all the pieces and I examine each piece to make sure that they can be used.
I hope to be added to this wonderful group of shop owners.
Hello Melody and welcome. I added the link to your etsy shop on the http://vintagepatterns.wikia.com/wiki/Vintage_pattern_vendors page, You're most welcome here! In order to learn how to use the wiki to add your patterns if they are not already there (otherwise you just have to add your links in the "vendors" section after the other links already there, if there are some), you should read the About section and Create a page section. If you have some problems, don't worry and juste leave a message on my wall or on the wall of Tarna, being on different part of the world you might find one of us, depending on the hour. Have a nice time here, we're all lovers of vintage patterns!
