Prominent Designer A618; ca. 1955; Misses' Dress - Original by Anna Miller.
“The ‘Look’ for summer 1955 – as American designer Anna Miller sees it. Understated elegance is her forte no more wonderfully achieved than here. A demure little covering at each shoulder frames the neckline – softly squared in front, slashed to a bold, beautiful V in back. Sewn beneath the graceful whirl of skirt is the perfect petticoat to mold its lines into gentle fullness. Mrs. Miller’s original is a vivid turquoise and white imported silk, with pale taffeta petticoat. Shantung, cotton would be other smart choices for summer’s prettiest sewing." (as stated in Ottawa Citizen, June 3, 1955)
