Prominent Designer A716; ca. 1955; Oldric Royce - Misses' Dress and Bolero. "Royalty American eclectic queens bow to the designing talents of Oldric Royce. Go exclusive are his creations, thu nowhere but in his custom salon can the “haut monde" obtain them. Nowhere but in this feature, will you ever find a pattern for this Oldric Royce original. And such a beauty ! It's as sleek at a whistle (and just as complimentary)--bodice curved softly beneath two pretty bows, skirts clinging closely to the hips. Clever back treatment--neckline plunged to a charming V cith a whirl of graceful flares about the hemline). Starring on the little bolero, the same bodice bows, slipped through a special seam opening (the total effect, as you can see, is truly lovely). Try the designer original, a fine bengaline, when sewing this ensemble. Or the wonderful family of silks--barathea, shantung, surrah. The flattering lines of A716 adapt so beautifully to any fabric". (as stated in The Bridgeport Telegram, March 6, 1955)
