PD-M286

Prominent Designer M286; ca. 1957; Philip Hulitar - Misses' Dress. “A success dress is this one by Hulitar. PRINTED PATTERN M286 by Philip Hulitar. Success in design, success in making, success for those who wear it. That's the surety of this design by talented Philip Hulitar, whose fine artistry in fashion wins him plaudits every season. Notice the slimming-to-the-waistline look, the skillfully rounded hip contour. Mr.Hulitar made his original in a sheer wool--though the new dacron mixtures, faille, or crepe are other likely possibilities. Printed Pattern M286 is available in misses' sizes 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18”, as stated in The Times, September 15, 1957.
