Prominent Designer M486; ca. 1961; Sagardoy - Misses' Dress.

“Bernard Sagardoy, of the Haute Couture, designed Pattern M486 especially for YOU. He understands the speed with which we Americans sew and achieved the smartest, newest shape in only eight important pattern parts. There are no waist seams, no hidden hard- to- sew details, zipper is at side. Make the belt, if you like, or get a soft suede or leather belt. As for fabric, Sagardoy suggests a sheer wool, tweed, flannel or a dark all-season cotton. Printed Pattern M4S6 is available in Misses' Sizes 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18.” (as stated in The Times (from San Mateo, California), October 7, 1961)
