Simplicity 1294; ca. 1945; Misses' and Women's One-Piece Dress and Underblouse: The surplice bodice is styled with gathers at front shoulder and front and back waistline. A softly gathered peplum with a center front opening is joined in front waistline and side seams. The contrasting skirt is seamed down the center front and back. In Style II the underblouse is fashioned with long fitted sleeves and a tie collar which joins into shoulder seams. The back and side fronts of the underblouse are made of net and the sleeves, collar and front are made of skirt fabric.
