Simplicity 1440;  ©1945; Girls' One-Piece Dress:  The button-front bodice has gathers at the lower edge and is finished with two flaps.  The skirt is seamed down the center front and back.  Style I has a convertible collar and bishop sleeves and saddle stitching is used to trim collar and flaps.  Style II has a contrasting detachable collar and short sleeves.  A contrasting bow is tacked at the neck edge.
