Simplicity 1547; ©1946; Teen-Age Dress and Blouse: The dart fitted bodice has lowered armholes and the skirt, styled with soft front pleats, is seamed at either side of the center back. Cap sleeves taper to nothing at the side seams and the neckline may be square, or high and round. If the dress is worn without a blouse, an insert may be sewed into the lower part of the armhole. The blouse is tucked at the waistline and buttons down the front. It is finished with a small collar and bishop sleeves.
