Simplicity 1593; ©1943; MISSES' AND WOMEN'S HOUSE DRESS AND HOUSECOAT: The surplice bodice features tucks at the front shoulder and the cap sleeves fit into slightly lowered, squared armholes. The bodice and skirt are softly gathered to a slim inset belt. The skirt has inside pockets at the sides and a side-button closing with a simulated fly below. Tie ends are attached to the inset belt and fasten in a bow. In Styles I and III, a pointed collar trims the V neckline.
