Simplicity 1601; ©1945; The fitted bodice has extended shoulders which form tiny cap sleeves and the high neckline has a center front opening. Top stitching outlines the neck and front edges. The skirt is seamed down the center front and back and fitted with darts at the back waistline. In Style I, tie ends fasten into a bow at the neck edge. Style II has a front peplum which is gathered at the upper edge and shaped at the lower edge.
