Simplicity 1718

Simplicity 1718; ©1946; MISSES’ AND WOMEN’S ONE-PIECE DRESS WITH LOWERED ARMHOLE. The bodice is gathered at the front and back waistline and darted at the back shoulder. The extended armhole is faced and the sleeve is top-stitched from the outside. The deep pointed collar trims the neckline. The gathered peplum is open at the sides and achieves a flattering look. The slim skirt and peplum join to the bodice. In Style I the melon sleeve is smart. Buttons and buttonholes trim the neck opening. A purchased belt is used. The sleeve in Style II is long and dart-fitted. A ribbon bow finishes the collar.
