Simplicity 1861; ca. 1940s; Misses’ and Women’s Bolero Suit and Blouse. The bolero is fitted with darts at the front and back shoulder, and the front edges are outlined with scallops. Lining is optional. Three-quarter sleeves gathered to a band at the lower edge or long fitted sleeves may be used. The wrap-around skirt is fitted with tucks at the upper left side and joins to a waist band. The blouse is made with extended shoulders and a bias bound neck edge. A bow may be used to trim the neck.
