Simplicity 1938; ©1947; Misses' and Women's One-Piece Dress: The front-buttoning dress, fitted with darts at the underarm and back shoulder, has gathers at the underarm and back shoulder, has gathers at the front and back waistline. The five panelled skirt is gathered in front. A purchased or self fabric belt may be used. In Style I, the long cuffed sleeves are gathered at the lower edge. In Style II, the sleeves are short and the skirt features flap pockets. A Winsor tie is worn under the contrasting collar.
