Simplicity 1976; ©1947; Junior Misses' and Misses' Play Suit and Skirt: A "Mother and Daughter Fashion". For "Daughter" see Simplicity 1966. The back-buttoning top is fitted with darts and ruffling outlines the upper edge. A low neckline that may be worn on or off the shoulder is featured. The dart-fitted shorts, cut in four sections, have a center back opening that is secured with a slide fastener. The dirndl skirt joins to a waist band and fastens with hooks and eyes. In Style I, the bodice and skirt are trimmed with embroidered edging. In Style II, rick rack edges the ruffle and lower edge of the skirt.
