Simplicity 2242; ©1947; GIRLS' ONE-PIECE DRESS: The back-buttoning bodice, styled with a high, round neckline, is fitted with darts at the front and back waistline. A shoulder ruffle may enhance the puffed sleeves or give a sleeve effect. The flared skirt joins the bodice front in a point below the natural waistline. Tie ends which join in the side seams form a bow at the center back. Style II is finished with a peplum which is separated at either side of the center front and back of the skirt.
