Simplicity 2296; ©1948; Girls' One-Piece Dress: The fitted bodice, scalloped at either side of the center front, features a contrasting Dutch collar and inset. A back opening, secured with buttons, extends into the skirt. Scalloped patch pockets trim the gathered skirt which is finished with piping in the front waistline seam. Tie ends join in the side seams and form a bow in back. In Style 1, the long sleeve, gathered at the upper and lower edges, joins to a wrist-band. A contrasting fold outlines the upper pocket edge. Style 2 has puffed sleeves.
