Simplicity 2488; ©1948; Misses' One-Piece Dress: The bodice front, cut on the bias, is styled with a triple row of gathers at the front shoulder and pleats which radiate from a point at the lower edge. Extended shoulders achieve a cap sleeve effect and a V-neckline finishes the bodice. The bias skirt, seamed down the center front and back, falls in an easy flare. A slide fastener which extends below the waistline secures the back opening. In Style 1, the bodice is of contrasting fabric and a pleated cummerbund fastens around the waist. Style 2 may have a self or purchased belt.
