Simplicity 2490; ©1948; Child's Blouse and Skirt: The back buttoning blouse is gathered at the upper front edge releasing easy bodice fullness. The dirndl skirt feature elastic casing in back. Tie ends are stitched to the waistband and fasten into a back bow. In style 2, double self ruffling at the neck and a single self ruffle at the lower edge of the skirt and three-quarter sleeves is featured. In style 2, contrasting rick rack trims the self ruffle on the blouse and skirt. Puffed sleeves are featured. In style 3, double ruffling, made of embroidered edging, finishes the contrasting blouse.
