Simplicity 2497; ©1948; Teen-Age One-Piece Dress: The bodice is styled with a low, rounded neckline trimmed with a bertha type collar. Pockets, joined in the side front seams of the gathered skirt, are optional. A self or purchased belt may be used. Style 1 features a contrasting, double bertha enhanced with a bow at the center front. In Style 2, contrasting fabric faces the collar and outlines the lower edge of the skirt to achieve a petticoat effect.
