Simplicity 1948 2516

Simplicity 2516; ©1948; Child's One-Piece Dress and Slip: Soft gathers are released from the upper edge of the scooped-out neckline which is finished with bias binding. A button closing in back, side pleats which stem from the underarm and armhole ruffling are featured. In Style 1, embroidered edging trims the sleeves and pockets, and a horizontal tuck finished the lower edge of the skirt. In Style 2, edging accents the sleeve and hem. The slip has bias facings at the neck and armhole edges. Embroidered edging or self-ruffling may be used to trim the hem.
