Simplicity 2589; ©1948; Misses' Blouse: The blouse, styled with a U-shaped yoke, is secured with a back-button closing. The sleeves which may be long, short or three-quarter length are gathered at the upper edges. Style 1 has a bias fold to accent the yoke and a contrasting collar and bishop sleeves to finish the blouse. In Style 2, the yoke and ruffling are in contrast. Ruffling, in Style 3, outlines the yoke and Peter Pan collar. Rows of elastic thread form the ruffling at the lower edge of the three-quarter sleeve. In Style 4, ruffling trims the yoke and lower edge of the short sleeve.
