Simplicity 2590; ©1948; The dart-fitted bodice, seamed down the center front, joins the skirt under a detachable peplum. The skirt is cut in four sections and features soft pleats centering in back. Style 1 has long, fitted sleeves and a high neckline open in front. A slide fastener secures the back opening. In Styles 2 and 3, the shaped neckline is low and the sleeves are short.
