Simplicity 2654; ©1948; Child's One-Piece Dress: The bodice, styled with a pointed collar, has a front closing which buttons to an underlay. The circular skirt features corded piping in front and joins the bodice at the natural waistline. Tie ends are stitched to the side seams and fasten into a soft back bow. In Style 1, rick rack trims the contrasting ruffling on the collar, bands at the short sleeves, front opening and hem of the skirt. In Style 2, the cuff of the long, gathered sleeve, collar, skirt and tie ends are in contrast. A patch pocket finishes the bodice.
