Simplicity 2681; ©1948; Misses' Nightgown: Soft gathers release fullness at the upper and lower edge of the square-necked bodice. Tie ends, joined in the side seams of the bias cut skirt, fasten into a soft back bow. In Style 1, self ruffling, trimmed with lace edging, accents the neckline and lower edge of the skirt. The neck bands are self fabric and the nightgown is sleeveless. Style 2 has neck bands cut of embroidered insertions. The short gathered sleeve, trimmed with an embroidered insertion, has elastic slipped through casing achieving a ruffled effect.
